Portrait of an Unidentified Man has been nominated for four Rideau Awards for the year 2009: Best Production, Best Actor (Pierre Brault), Best Director (Brian Quirt) and Best Lighting Design (Martin Conboy).  Because the Rideau Awards did not exist when the show premiered at the National Arts Centre in 2005, these nominations were received for the 2009 revival at the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre prior to our New Zealand tour.  Founded in 2007, Les Prix Rideau Awards celebrate achievement in professional theatre in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, and as of this year, are Canada’s only bilingual professional theatre awards.  For a full list of nominees, please visit www.rideauawards.ca.  Congratulations to all the nominees!
